About Chorleywood
In addition to our annual Literature Festival, a visit to Chorleywood offers a range of highly acclaimed hostelries and eateries. Situated on the edge of The Chilterns, there are plenty of opportunities for country walks on the famous Common, down in the Chess Valley, and in extensive surrounding woodlands.
Chorleywood is easily reached by public and private transport, situated as it is on the Metropolitan line and only a mile or so from Junction 18 of the M25. The station is also served by Chiltern Railways on the Marylebone to Aylesbury via Amersham line. Most of the Litfest venues are a short walk from the station.
In 2004, Chorleywood was voted the neighbourhood with the highest quality of life.
